  • Synopsis: Two of Abigail’s siblings survived and hid in a closet. Her mother, Smadar was killed by terrorists and Roy, her father is dead. Roy was holding Abigail when he was shot, but his body has not been identified. The living children are with their grandparents. Roy, her father, is a Ynet photographer.

  • A brief video making the rounds on social media shows kindergarten teacher Shiri Shiri Silberman-Bibas clutching her sons – Ariel, 3, and 10-month-old Kfir – as the family is abducted by Hamas from their kibbutz in southern Israel Saturday.

  • Synopsis: Eitan and his father, Ohad, were captured separately from their kibbutz. When the terrorists entered their house, Ohad engaged in a gun battle and was shot. The terrorists came into the safe room and ripped the family out. The children were loaded onto mopeds. The mother, Bat Sheva, and Eitan’s two sisters were on one moped while Eitan and a foreign worker from the kibbutz were with another terrorist. The terrorists sped away, towards Gaza. On their way, they saw 2 IDF tanks and the 2 mopeds split up – this is when Bat Sheva lost sight of Eitan.

  • Place: Kibbutz Nir Oz
  • Synopsis: Danielle and her 6 year old daughter Emilia Aloni have been taken hostage in Gaza. They were taken from the Otef Aza region along with Danielle’s sister and brother-in-law, and their twin daughters. All 6 family members have been missing since Saturday morning following the massacre at their kibbutz.

Ohad Zachary Munder

  • Synopsis: Ohad Zachary Munder was kidnapped to Gaza along with his mother, grandparents. Ohad’s family, which launched a campaign for his release, wants to celebrate his birthday in captivity. “It is a prayer and heartfelt intention to celebrate the day he came into the world, to anchor within us the sanctity of life and the choice of life, and the message that every child deserves to live and be free,” his family said.

  • Synopsis: Kidnapped with their father Ofer Calderon. A relative had not heard from the family since Saturday, but a video was found of Erez with a captor.

Raz Katz-Asher, Aviv Katz-Asher
  • Age: 4, 2
  • Place: Kibbutz Nir Oz
  • Synopsis: Doron Asher, Raz Katz-Asher, 4 years old, Aviv Katz-Asher, 2 years old Doron, Raz, and Aviv Asher were taken hostage while visiting relatives near the Gaza border. In one of the videos that surfaced after the attack, their husband and father, Yoni Asher, witnessed his wife and daughters (aged five and three) being loaded into the back of a truck with other hostages. He also traced his wife’s mobile phone location all the way to Gaza.

Noam Avigdori

  • Place: Kibbutz Be’eri
  • Synopsis: Noam was visiting her family when the attack happened (same family as Naveh and Yahel). The family members hid in the safe room when they were attacked and heard Hamas terrorists speaking outside of the safe room. Noam and her mother Sharon along with 10 other family members have not been heard of since. A member of the kibbutz recalls seeing the family loaded onto a pickup truck. Noam’s uncle’s phone was geolocated in Gaza.

Ofir Angel
  • Age: 18 (turned 18 on day 1 of captivity)
  • Place: Kibbutz Nir Oz
  • Synopsis: He was granted Dutch nationality (passport) this week (NL Times), his great grandmother was Dutch and they were able to expedite this under emergency procedures. He was visiting Kibbutz Be’eri with his girlfriend the day of the attack. His family received a selfie from him around noon but that was the last they heard from him. Hamas broke into the safe room that he was hiding in and took Ofir, his girlfriend’s father and another 16-year old from the kibbutz. The terrorists left the girls behind and they were later rescued by the IDF. At 7pm Ofir’s parents received a call from his girlfriend’s mother saying that they heard people in the house speaking Arabic. The girlfriend’s mother recounted the events of the day: terrorists entered their home, broke into the safe room. The family and their dog were brought outside. The terrorists shot the dog. Told the women (girlfriend, her mother and two sisters) to sit on the grass, took their phones and then loaded the men into a car.

Alex Danzig

  • Place: Kibbutz Nir Oz
  • Synopsis: Alex Danzig, 75, a Holocaust scholar and historian, was at his home in Nir Oz when he was attacked by Hamas on October 7. ‘We know for sure that he was kidnapped,’ his son Mati told the BBC. Alex, whose older sister Edith survived the Holocaust, has worked for the past 30 years at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial site in Jerusalem. Following his kidnapping, campaigns for his release began in both Israel and Poland, where he was born.

  • Synopsis: A neighbor on Kibbutz Nir-Oz saw the militants take away 84-year-old Ditza Heiman. Her niece told about this. Ditsa is a former social worker. Ditza’s late husband, Zvi Shdaim, was taken from Nazi Germany to Britain as part of a special program to rescue Jewish children during World War II.

  • Synopsis: In addition, there is reason to believe that Ada Sagi was also abducted from her home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. Her son, Nahum, said Israeli soldiers found bloodstains in her house, but then found no trace of his mother. She was neither among the dead nor among the wounded.
